As a loader and stowage specialist for sea containers, you ensure that goods are prepared safely and efficiently for overseas transport. You start your workday at 08:30 by checking the loading lists and the cargo ready for shipment. Throughout the day, you accurately distribute the cargo within the containers, using a forklift and stowage materials to prevent shifting. Around 17:00, you close the last container of the day and ensure the loading administration is up to date. In this position, you work through Staffice at our client's location.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading sea containers according to specific instructions.
- Stowing and securing various types of goods.
- Operating the forklift to move heavy pallets.
- Checking outgoing goods for damage and correct quantities.
- Completing relevant loading documents and checklists.
- Keeping the work location and loading docks clean.
- Applying the correct weight distribution within the containers.
- Proven experience in loading and stowing sea containers.
- Possession of a valid forklift certificate.
- Proficiency in Dutch or English.
- Physically fit and able to work accurately under time pressure.
- Resident in the immediate vicinity of the work location.
- Salary between 14.80 and 16.00 per hour.
- Weekly payment of your salary.
