We are looking for a Medior Software Engineer to join our fast-growing digital strategy-execution company.

Momentum Digital is a rapidly growing company specializing in digital strategy and execution. It was founded by Mark Schröder and Kim Pellikaan, both of whom have decades of experience in building agencies and scale-ups.

Our goal is to approach strategy and execution in a unique way, not just by delivering PowerPoint presentations, but by actually executing the strategies proposed. Your New Role

As a Medior Software Engineer at Momentum Digital, you deliver digital transformation projects that create measurable business value. You design and build smart, scalable, data-driven solutions from AI-powered workflows and autonomous agents to advanced analytics applications - using technologies such as Python (Django), Azure cloud-native services, Terraform, GitHub (CI/CD), Cursor AI, Tailwind, and Large Language Models.

You contribute actively throughout the project lifecycle, supporting planning, budgeting, and quality assurance, applying established best practices - such as convention over configuration - to help ensure strong, future-proof solutions.

You will collaborate closely with clients and colleagues to create innovative, future-ready solutions. In addition to your project responsibilities, you will mentor one to two junior engineers, supporting their growth through active coaching and development planning. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality results while maintaining a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 50 or higher.

Competencies

• Holding professional Data Engineering and Machine Learning Databricks certifications.
• Demonstrating strong expertise in data-driven application development using Python, with hands-on experience in Azure, and implementing solutions leveraging Large Language Models.
• Possessing a completed Master’s degree, preferably in a scientific field.
• Showing a strong affinity for IT and solution building, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively address potential challenges.
• Being fluent in Dutch, with outstanding customer interaction and presentation skills, capable of leading effective conversations.
• Showing a proven ability in collaborative teamwork and in tackling complex problems, demonstrating leadership and initiative.

Responsibilities and Outcomes

• Project Delivery: Ensure at least 90% of projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Customer Satisfaction: Achieve and maintain a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 50 or higher, reflecting customer satisfaction and value delivery.
• Mentorship and Development: Mentor 1-2 beginners, guiding them to advance to junior or mid-level developer roles within 24 months. This includes effectively utilizing approximately 10% of their work time for personal development, with measurable enhancements in their abilities and contributions.
• Personal Development: Dedicate approximately 10% of your time to personal development. Focus on cultivating skills that benefit both you and the company, with the goal of achieving all major Databricks certificates. This commitment will lead to measurable enhancements in your abilities and contributions.
