Function: Senior Mechanic / Chief Mechanic of Trucks

Willems Logistics is looking for a truck mechanic to maintain its own trucks. We do almost all maintenance and inspections ourselves with a small team of mechanics. This is a challenging job where you have a lot of freedom to organize the work together with your colleagues! The team is diverse and includes junior and senior mechanics.

Summary:

Employment scope: Full-time

Contract at inception: Fixed term with a view to permanent

Education Requirements: (Truck) mechanic + RDW inspector

Our truck mechanics ensure that our drivers can hit the road with peak performance trucks and trailers. We do most of the maintenance and inspections ourselves, and we also have a good relationship with the dealer garages.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direction and planning for the garage;
• Be responsible for regular maintenance;
• Oversee (emergency) repairs in our workshop or on the road;
• Communicate with scheduling regarding equipment availability;
• Involved in purchasing parts and/or equipment.

Skills Needed

You have relevant training for the position of senior truck mechanic. RDW inspector is a big plus. Additionally, you are a fine colleague.
