Internship: Supplier Lifecycle Management (Suitable for Thesis)

Job DescriptionStart date: We are looking for students able to start as soon as possible, no later than Q1 January or February 2022Duration: 6 monthsWe are open to support you with your thesis depending the subject of your research. We are flexible in case you combine this with your thesis to grand you 32 hours working week.In this role, you have the opportunity to make life betterAccelerate growth and improve performance of Philips procurement.   • Analyzing the current state of the Vendor Management Process, including all involved third party systems
  • Designing and conceptualizing a uniform Supplier Lifecycle Process in consideration of the involved cross functions
  • Communicating requirements to internal and external IT service providers to implement a user-friendly cloud-based tool
  • Testing and releasing of programmed developments
  • Rolling out the new process to the global purchasing organization and cross functions
  • Preparing for Data migration: Receiving data from stakeholders to clean and enrich
You are a part of The Project Team of Supplier Lifecycle Management. This an international team formed by multiple interns and experts. You will work with the Procurement Governance team and will work directly with colleagues and managers in Procurement as well as in the businesses that are supported by the function’s work. Depending the COVID19 situation, you will be supported to work from home. Given an improvement in this situation, the department manager will inform you when you can return working from our office located in Eindhoven, at the High Tech Campus.To succeed in this role, you‘ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
  • Currently studying towards your University Master in Sciences WO (Msc.) degree in: Business Informatics Management, Business Analytics Management Change Management, (Open) Supply Chain Management, Innovation Management and/or Procurement (strategy, supplier negotiation and selection, supplier collaboration).
  • Strong innovative mindset, with capability of looking beyond the application as such;
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills combined with a strong business sense and a drive for business impact. Strong self-drive.
  • An open and globally oriented work mentality, combined with a true self-starting character which will contribute to the overall team
  • Good communication skills (verbal and writing). Solid spoken and written English skills
