In this role, as a Sales Specialist you will be accountable for sales for driving profitable Business Line Auto Tier1 (BL Tier1) sales growth, developing, implementing, and managing the global/local account strategy focused on share of wallet growth, profitability and customer satisfaction for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China, driving sales volumes and margins. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will use your experience and drive to build enduring customer relationships through excellent service.

Your responsibilities
  • Being responsible to deliver the annual sales target in terms of value and margin, to drive sustainable business growth
  • Extending and penetrating business with current global and local key customers
  • Exploring and developing new customers, switching customers and system integrators from competitors, mainly in automotive electronics
  • Working with marketing and other departments to prepare sales plans and bids, ensuring technical and financial accuracy
  • Working with the wider sales team to identify and develop new market opportunities
  • Using your knowledge of customers’ needs and ABB’s solutions to determine effective solutions for customers
  • Monitoring customer and market trends along with the marketing team to develop effective marketing activities
Your background
  • 5+ years of sales and marketing experience, especially in key account management
  • Knowledge, (first-hand) of automation in automotive industry is preferred
  • Having proficiency in using Microsoft office software
  • A bachelor’s degree or above, engineering background is preferred
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills in English, (business fluent English-speaking as a big advantage)
  • A proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships, willing to travel extensively
  • Managing customers that include maintaining relationship, sales strategy, problem resolution, negotiation skills, and a keen business sense
