Community Manager, Alexa Social


Amazon’s Alexa is seeking a skilled Social Community Manager to support our online community and own the voice of Alexa across social channels in EU. This candidate should have lifestyle brand experience and a passion for brand building and storytelling, with the ability to identify and highlight great stories across platforms. This candidate should be passionate about all things social and have prior experience building out brands across social platforms.

A day in the life
As the Social Community Manager, you will engage with customers and build a strong online community of Alexa brand advocates. This role will be responsible for showcasing the Alexa brand and creating delightful social experiences for our customers. You will manage the content calendar and help support social marketing strategists. You have a passion for building audiences on social platform and are up to speed with latest social trends. You hold yourself to a high creative bar and are a stellar writer.

The Alexa Social Community Manager will join a team of driven, passionate and creative professionals who have their finger on the pulse of social trends and how to best drive brand awareness and brand love through our various channels, all while being customer obsessed.

Job responsibilities
· Manage and build out the social content calendar, including writing copy and scheduling to channels for execution.
· Help develop and maintain social media guidelines across owned and earned channels, including but not limited to Instagram and Facebook; creating consistent and cohesive messaging across platforms.
· Write creative, engaging content that reflects the Alexa brand and resonates with our customers
· Create opportunities to communicate with audiences in a compelling, engaging and helpful way that is mapped to audience building KPIs.
· Dive deep into social media performance metrics and deliver data-driven recommendations for new content and creative strategies
· Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to identify appropriate social moments to engage with and highlight on platforms.
· Escalate top comments and potential customer issues to social media and social care teams, as appropriate
· Identify opportunities to engage with influencers, major brands and influential accounts and think holistically to identify all potential outcomes.
· Manage performance reporting and drive improvements and innovation from data.


· Bachelor’s degree in marketing/ communications/ journalism related field or equivalent professional experience
· Fluency in German and English
· Relevant years of professional experience in social media and community management for a lifestyle brand
· Experience with Social Media, Analytics and Strategy
· A passion for making data-driven decisions and driving strategic recommendations with data
· Experience working cross functionally (channel strategists, PR, creative agencies/internal partners, product teams)
· Ability to communicate, both verbal and written, with a wide variety of audiences both internal and external to the company
· Must possess a sense of urgency and an appreciation for working in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
· The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
· Up-to-date on the latest social media trends, up-and-coming social platforms, algorithm changes and excellent knowledge navigating social channels.


· MBA or Master’s degree in marketing or communications
· Experience working with external marketing agencies
· Experience with lifestyle brands and/or established brand with proven expertise in mastering brand voice and developing an online community and presence
· Strong analytic and quantitative skills - ability to use data to develop and measure marketing programs
· Strong written communication skills.
· Expertise in social content initiatives that will encourage community engagement and brand building.
· Understands influencer marketing and has communicated with influencers.
· Multi-tasker who is well organized, agile, and detail oriented.
· Demonstrates a positive, can-do, go-the-extra-mile attitude.
