The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-conscious driver who takes pride in delivering outstanding service and has experience operating HIAB equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
* Deliver goods to customer sites in a safe and timely manner.
* Load and unload vehicles when required.
* Secure loads correctly using ratchet straps and other approved load restraint methods.
* Operate a HIAB crane to safely load and unload materials.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
* Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
* Provide excellent customer service while representing the company professionally.
* Follow all road transport, health and safety, and company procedures.
Essential Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
* Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
* ALLMI HIAB qualification (must be current).
* Proven experience using ratchet straps and securing loads safely.
* Experience with loading and unloading vehicles.
* Good understanding of driver hours and tachograph regulations.
* A positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
* Previous experience delivering building materials or similar products.
* Forklift experience (advantageous but not essential).
