TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Outstanding primary school in the DE5 area, who are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential and thrive both academically and socially.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, from September 2026 through to July 2027. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), helping to promote engagement, independence and positive learning behaviours within the classroom.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience supporting children with ASD and ADHD
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
