How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Role: As a Product Designer, you'll be involved throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and generating concepts to testing, manufacturing, and product launch.
    Your responsibilities will include:

    *
Creating design briefs and technical specifications to support product development projects.
    *
Producing concept designs using sketching, modelling, CAD, and rapid prototyping techniques.
    *
Developing concepts into commercially viable products through the selection of suitable materials and manufacturing processes.
    *
Creating and maintaining technical drawings and engineering documentation.
    *
Testing and evaluating prototypes and finished products to ensure compliance with relevant standards and performance requirements.
    *
Producing technical literature, installation guides, and supporting documentation.
    *
Providing technical support and product expertise across the wider business.
    *
Supporting manufacturing improvement initiatives through research, analysis, and practical problem-solving.
    *
Working collaboratively with production, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure successful product delivery.
    *
Contributing to continuous improvement projects that enhance quality, efficiency, sustainability, and safety.
    About You:
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, has a strong eye for design, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
    You'll ideally have:
    *
A degree or equivalent qualification in Product Design, Industrial Design, Engineering Design, or a related discipline.
    *
Experience using 3D CAD software, ideally Creo Parametric (Pro Engineer).
    *
A strong understanding of engineering and product development principles.
    *
    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    *
The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments.
    *
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    *
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite would be advantageous.
    *
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    *
A proactive approach and a genuine interest in innovation and continuous improvement.
    Why Join Us?
    *
Influence products from concept through to manufacture.
    *
Work within a collaborative and experienced development team.
    *
Gain exposure to all aspects of product development, manufacturing, and commercial operations.
    *
Be part of a business that invests in innovation and sustainability.
    *
Join a market-leading manufacturer with the backing and opportunities of the Genuit Group.
At Genuit Group, our values underpin everything we do:
