We’re working with a growing media business looking for an Account Director to take ownership of key agency relationships and play a major role in driving commercial growth across TV, CTV, VOD, sponsorship and programmatic.
This is a true new-business and revenue-generating role. You’ll have your own agency portfolio, but this isn’t about simply managing existing accounts — you’ll be expected to identify opportunities, open doors, pitch, negotiate and convert new spend.
Working closely with the Sales Director and wider Commercial team, you’ll be at the heart of the sales strategy, with real ownership of your revenue targets and the opportunity to develop commercial opportunities across the rapidly evolving CTV and digital video landscape.
What you'll be doing
* Own and grow relationships with advertising agencies, media buyers, planners and clients.
* Identify and convert new revenue opportunities across TV, CTV, VOD, sponsorship and programmatic.
* Build relationships with key decision-makers across AV, digital, planning and buying teams.
* Develop new business opportunities and turn prospects into long-term commercial relationships.
* Lead pitches, presentations and commercial conversations with agencies and advertisers.
* Develop account strategies to maximise revenue across your portfolio.
* Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure campaigns are planned and delivered against budget.
* Stay close to the market, identifying relevant advertisers and emerging opportunities across the CTV, digital video and Smart TV landscape.
* Build strong relationships with content and platform partners to understand their channels, audiences and commercial proposition.
* Produce compelling sales collateral and propositions that demonstrate the value of the media portfolio.
* Own your pipeline, revenue forecasting and inventory, providing regular updates to the Sales Director.
* Contribute to wider sales strategy and help develop the processes that support continued commercial growth.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a commercially driven media salesperson who knows how agencies work and enjoys winning business.
You'll bring:
* Proven experience in media sales, agency sales or commercial partnerships.
* A strong network across media agencies and/or advertising clients.
* Experience selling TV, CTV, VOD, digital, programmatic and/or sponsorship.
* A demonstrable track record of hitting revenue targets and winning new business.
* Confidence dealing with senior buyers, planners and decision-makers.
* Strong pitching, negotiation and presentation skills.
* The ability to spot an opportunity, build the relationship and ultimately close the deal.
* A proactive, entrepreneurial approach — someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, opening doors and creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to arrive.
