This is a varied and fast-paced role that sits at the heart of our business, supporting customers, sales personnel, suppliers and internal departments. You will be responsible for handling enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, maintaining CRM records, supporting marketing activities and ensuring the smooth day-to-day administration of the sales function.

About the Role
Working from our Elland office, you will provide administrative and operational support to our sales and procurement teams while acting as a professional first point of contact for customers.
You will assist with quotations, order processing, customer communications and database management, while also supporting outbound marketing campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Administration
• Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
• Manage shared sales inboxes and customer enquiries.
• Provide a professional and friendly first point of contact for customers.
• Assist customers with product, pricing and order enquiries.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve customer requests.
Quotations & Sales Support
• Prepare customer quotations using internal systems and supplier pricing.
• Assist the sales team with proposal preparation and customer documentation.
• Track quotations and follow-up actions to ensure opportunities progress efficiently.
• Support external account managers with administrative and customer support activities.
• Assist with tender submissions, framework opportunities and project documentation.
Order Processing
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Liaise with procurement and suppliers regarding product availability and delivery schedules.
• Maintain order records and update customers on order status.
• Ensure all documentation is correctly completed and recorded.
Marketing & Customer Engagement
• Support outbound email marketing campaigns.
• Assist with customer outreach initiatives and event promotions.
• Manage marketing contact lists and campaign databases.
• Follow up campaign responses and pass opportunities to the sales team.
• Assist with social media and customer communication activities where required.
CRM & Database Management
• Maintain accurate customer and prospect information within the CRM system.
• Update customer records, purchases, contacts and activity history.
• Ensure customer data remains accurate and compliant.
• Produce activity and sales administration reports when required.
• Support data cleansing and database improvement projects.
Skills & Experience
Essential
• Previous experience in a sales administration, customer service or internal support role.
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Strong written communication skills.
Desirable
• Experience within AV, IT, technology, telecoms or managed services sectors.
• Experience preparing customer quotations and processing orders.
• Experience supporting marketing campaigns or customer communications.
• Knowledge of CRM / Sage platforms and marketing databases.
