We're currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Electrical Shift Technician to join a leading facilities management provider on a prestigious technology and automotive site in Woking.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrical Engineer looking to work within a high-profile, technically advanced environment. The role will involve a combination of electrical and mechanical planned and reactive maintenance, working as part of an established engineering team to ensure the reliability and operational effectiveness of the site.
Role Overview:
Based at a prestigious technology and automotive site in Woking
Permanent position working 40 hours per week
Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern:
Early: 06:00 - 14:30
Day: 08:00 - 17:00
Late: 13:30 - 22:00
Shared on-call rota, approximately 1 week in 9
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services
Working within a technically advanced critical and non-critical environment
Some travel may be required to other client buildings in Woking and the surrounding area What you'll be doing:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with set schedules and procedures
Responding promptly to electrical and mechanical reactive maintenance issues and breakdowns
Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs and rectification works
Maintaining electrical distribution systems, lighting systems and associated plant
Carrying out electrical installation, testing and inspection works
Completing electrical and mechanical maintenance across general building services
Supporting emergency breakdowns and call-outs when required
Working across multiple engineering disciplines and assisting other trades where necessary
Coordinating and monitoring specialist subcontractors attending site
Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with engineering standards
Completing accurate maintenance records, reports and job documentation
Working with the site's CAFM/PPM management system and handheld PDA
Carrying out L8 duties when required
Supporting the wider maintenance team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales
Liaising with the client's management team, helpdesk and production equipment maintenance teams
Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and service delivery What we're looking for:
C&G Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installation (2360) or recognised equivalent
18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (Essential)
Proven experience within an electrical maintenance environment
Experience carrying out electrical fault finding, diagnosis and rectification
Experience with electrical PPM and reactive maintenance within commercial/building services environments
Experience with electrical installation, testing and inspection
Good understanding of building critical and non-critical systems
Knowledge of Health & Safety, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
GCSE/O-Level equivalent passes in Maths and English
Good communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach
Flexible approach and willingness to work across electrical and mechanical disciplines Desirable:
City & Guilds Electrical Inspection & Testing or equivalent
BMS knowledge and understanding
Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge
Knowledge of COSHH
Experience using CAFM/PPM systems such as Concept
