The Role
As Site Officer, you will play an important role in ensuring the school site, buildings and facilities are maintained to a safe and high standard. You will work closely with the wider school team, helping to ensure the site operates effectively and provides a welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Unlocking the site
Check the heating / water works on arrival
Gritting pathways in adverse weather
Sweeping leaves
General maintenance – changing light bulbs, fixing door handles, etc
Put bins out
Help unload deliveries and put in the stockroom
Update the computer system with site checks
Monday to Friday
7am to 3:25pm (1 hour lunch)
37 hours per week
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience in a maintenance or site-based role
A relevant technical or vocational qualification is desirable
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Confidence using IT systems and software
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance is desirable
A proactive and practical approach to maintaining a safe and well-presented environment
A strong commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of children
