We are looking for a skilled Shift Engineer to join our team at a prestigious commercial building in the City of London. Working as part of a shift team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of critical building services systems, ensuring high levels of reliability, compliance and customer service. This role is suitable for either electrically or mechanically qualified engineers with commercial building maintenance experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and electrical building services equipment.
* Respond to reactive maintenance requests and plant breakdowns.
* Fault find and repair a range of M&E systems including HVAC, power, lighting and associated plant.
* Monitor and maintain critical systems to ensure operational performance.
* Use the Building Management System (BMS) to monitor environmental conditions and identify faults.
* Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.
* Supervise specialist subcontractors and review completed works.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and update CAFM systems.

Candidate Requirements
* NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
* Previous experience in a commercial building, critical environment or facilities management setting.
* Experience carrying out PPMs, reactive maintenance and fault finding.
* Good understanding of building services systems including electrical, HVAC and mechanical plant.
* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Salary description
£50000.00 - £58000.00 per year
