The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are working with a well-established and highly regarded civil engineering contractor to assist them in hiring a Supervisor for their growing team in Beauly.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join a busy and supportive business delivering a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the Highlands. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. As the Supervisor your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Overseeing daily site activities and coordinating operational teams
* Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety procedures
* Supervising subcontractors, labour, and plant on site
* Monitoring progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification
* Maintaining quality standards and completing relevant site documentation
* Supporting site management and liaising with clients and stakeholders as required
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
* Previous supervisory experience within civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects
* A strong understanding of health & safety regulations and site procedures
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* The ability to organise workloads and manage teams effectively
* A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
