The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are working with a leading and rapidly growing power and utilities contractor to assist them in hiring a Site Manager for their team in Scotland.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a business delivering critical energy infrastructure projects across the country. The successful candidate will take ownership of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As the Site Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Managing the day-to-day delivery of power and utilities projects across Scotland
* Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements
* Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and plant resources
* Monitoring programme performance and implementing corrective actions where required
* Maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the wider project team
* Completing site reporting, documentation, and progress updates to senior management
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
* Previous experience as a Site Manager within power, utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects
* A strong understanding of health & safety legislation and industry best practice
* Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
* The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects to demanding timescales
* A proactive and solutions-focused approach with strong organisational abilities
