Lecturer in Civil Engineering

Salary:           £32,136 - £42,848 per annum
Benefits:       Up to £5,000 golden hello payment

Hours:           Full time - 37 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified individual to teach a range of full-time, part-time, and HE programmes in BTEC Advanced Civil Engineering and T Level Engineering.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To deliver lively and interactive teaching, learning and assessment to an outstanding standard on a range of programmes as appropriate.
To secure outstanding success for all learners and ensure targets for recruitment, retention, achievement, attendance, and progression are met.
Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, and developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
To act as a course tutor to a group of students and undertake the duties associated with this pastoral role.Required Skills and Experience:

Has a relevant degree in Engineering and equivalent higher technical expertise in this field (Civil Engineering)
Has or is willing to study for a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
Has industry experience, with current knowledge and the ability to deliver to industry standards.
Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload. What’s in it for you?
