How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.

Job description

Brinsbury College, part of the Chichester College Group have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in Maths & 14-16 at our Brinsbury College campus. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis. In return, we will offer a competitive salary pro rata of £27,785 - £43,325 per annum (i.e. £16,671 - £25,995).

22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

The Lecturer in Maths & 14-16 role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring, dynamic and committed Lecturer who has relevant experience of supporting learners who have, up until now, not engaged in mainstream education. You will be creative, experienced and passionate about working with these students aged 14-16 and have the ability to engage and encourage students to participate and develop new skills in an exciting and motivating environment.

Key Responsibilities of our Lecturer in Maths & 14-16:

Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including enrichemnt opportunities.

Leading and supporting the delivery of GCSE in Maths.

Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.

Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.

Undertaking in marketing activities and promote the College in a positive way for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.

Participating in student reviews and other relevant meetings to manage the achievement and attendance of students.

Our ideal Lecturer in Maths & 14-16 should have the following skills and experience:

Relevant industry/subject experience

Experience working with challenging young people

Working knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies

Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification

Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines

To obtain an appropriate teaching qualification as defined by the Corporation
