Beauty Tutor

£25,000 – £28,000 (pro rata)

Pathway Academy Zone is an independent alternative provision supporting young people to re-engage with education and develop practical, career-focused skills. Our beauty provision focuses on preparing students for real-world environments such as salons, clinics, and self-employment pathways.
The Role
We are seeking a Beauty Tutor with industry experience to deliver practical and theory-based sessions. You will support students in developing hands-on skills, confidence, and an understanding of professional standards within the beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver practical beauty sessions (e.g. basic treatments, skincare, nails, or makeup depending on specialism)
* Teach key industry standards including hygiene, health & safety, and client care
* Support students to develop employability skills such as communication, professionalism, and timekeeping
* Prepare students for entry-level roles or further training in beauty
* Maintain a safe and structured learning environment
* Monitor progress and maintain records
Essential Requirements
* Level 2 or above qualification in Beauty Therapy or a related field
* Relevant industry experience (e.g. salon, freelance, clinic, or beauty services)
* Strong understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and client care standards
* Ability to manage behaviour and engage young people
* Teaching, assessing, or training qualification (e.g. AET, PTLLS, Level 3 Award in Education & Training)
* Level 3 Beauty Therapy or specialist qualifications (e.g. nails, lashes, skincare)
* Experience delivering vocational qualifications (e.g. NVQ, VTCT, City & Guilds)
* Experience working with young people with SEN/SEMH or in alternative provision
