We are recruiting skilled engineers in the Twickenham area to work the desirable 4 Days On / 4 Days Off shift pattern (12 hour shifts), maintaining modern fleets that keep the capital moving safely and reliably every day.

The Role:
As a PSV Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability and performance. Working alternating early and late shifts you’ll be working within a well-equipped workshop where you'll carry out scheduled servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs to minimise vehicle downtime and maximise fleet availability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on buses and coaches.
* Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
* Complete safety inspections and preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
* Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and ensure they remain fully roadworthy.
* Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently.
* Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults.
* Accurately complete maintenance records and job documentation.
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
* Work collaboratively with the engineering team to achieve fleet availability targets.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety policies and company procedures.
What We're Looking For:
* NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
* Previous experience working on PSV, HGV, LGV or other heavy vehicles.
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
* Good understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
* PSV licence is advantageous but not essential.
