On behalf of a bright, open plan Nursery in Balham we are actively recruiting for a passionate Deputy Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

This medium-sized nursery in Balham is an attractive and welcoming setting with a fantastic reputation. They are based only a short walk from both Balham and Clapham South stations, with great transport links. The Nursery is set up all on one floor, with different areas for specific age groups and a large garden for the children to enjoy.

As the new Nursery Deputy Manager you will be joining an incredible staff team, working alongside an experienced and passionate Manager. You will be a crucial member of the leadership team, supporting with all aspects of the day-to-day management of the site. You should be familiar with all educational standards and OFSTED requirements, and possess the ability to wear all different hats and step in to support wherever needed within the setting.

This is a full time, permanent Deputy Nursery Manager role paying a fantastic starting salary of £39,075 per annum! You will be working for a supportive and established employer with a fantastic track record of supporting and developing their staff both personally and professionally. Experienced Third in Charges with 2 years’ experience and Level 3 or above in Early Years Education / Childcare are encouraged to apply.

Nursery Deputy Manager profile:

* A minimum of Level 3 in Childcare, CACHE, Early Years Educator or similar

* Paediatric First Aid

* Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding, and current childcare legislation.

* Strong leadership skills with previous leadership experience within a Nursery setting (E.g. Third in Charge, Deputy Nursery Manager, Nursery Manager)

Nursery Deputy Manager duties will include:

* Supporting the Nursery Manager to lead and inspire a varied team of early years professionals

* Support with safeguarding for the setting, putting the welfare and safety of the children above all else

* Regularly liaising with Parents and Carers to ensure a high level of involvement and satisfaction

* Deputising for the Manager in their absence
