Installation Engineer

📍 Hull Based with UK Travel

💰 £33,000 per annum

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Installation Engineer to join a growing engineering business with an established UK customer base.

This role would suit someone with a couple of years' engineering experience who is looking to build their career within a specialist installation team. You'll work alongside experienced engineers on customer sites across the UK, assisting with the installation, assembly and commissioning of equipment.

Unlike a traditional service engineer role, you won't be working away every week. Instead, you can expect to spend approximately 50% of your time working away from home, supporting installation projects nationwide.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering work, travelling to different locations, and developing their technical skills within a supportive and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the installation and assembly of equipment at customer sites
Support site-based engineering projects across the UK
Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly work
Assist with equipment testing and commissioning activities
Complete installation checks and site surveys
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Maintain accurate job documentation and reports
Work closely with customers and colleagues on site
Support continuous improvement and high-quality workmanship standards

What We're Looking For

✅ Previous engineering, mechanical fitting or installation experience

✅ Around 2+ years of engineering experience preferred

✅ Strong practical and hands-on approach

✅ Good problem-solving skills

✅ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

✅ Excellent communication skills

✅ Professional and customer-focused attitude

✅ Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required

✅ Reliable, hardworking and eager to learn

✅ Full UK Driving Licence
