Customer Fulfilment & Delivery Operative | £18.00 per hour | Two-day temporary assignment | Starts Tuesday 6 October working 8am-9pm (Apply online only))

This initial assignment could lead to further ongoing work for reliable, high-performing operatives.
 
We are recruiting reliable, customer-focused operatives to support the launch of an exciting supermarket fulfilment and delivery service. This varied role covers the complete customer journey, from receiving an order, accurately picking the products ordered, paying for the items and then delivering it directly to the customer.
 
You will use a company-provided digital device, work independently within an assigned supermarket and help deliver a fast, accurate and professional service.
 
What you’ll be doing
Depending on operational demand, your responsibilities may include:

Receiving and managing customer orders through a digital device
Locating and picking products accurately and efficiently
Checking orders carefully before they leave the store
Completing the agreed payment process using touchscreen technology
Delivering completed orders directly to customers using your own car
Providing friendly and professional service
Following clear processes to ensure every order is completed correctly 
What we’re looking for
You will need to be:

Confident with technology – comfortable using smartphones, apps and touchscreen devices
Customer focused – committed to providing a positive customer experience
Adaptable – able to move between different duties in a fast-changing environment

Calm under pressure – able to remain focused when order volumes increase
Professional – capable of representing our client positively in-store and with customers 
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, delivery, logistics, warehousing or customer service would be helpful, but your attitude, reliability and ability to learn are equally important.

Driving and insurance requirements
You must have access to your own suitable car to apply for this position.
 
As the assignment will include the potential to deliver orders directly to customers, you must also have:

A valid driving licence
An eligible, roadworthy and properly maintained car
Existing Social, Domestic and Pleasure vehicle insurance
The ability to obtain the required Hire and Reward insurance before making customer deliveries 
Your driving licence, vehicle and insurance documentation will be checked before you are approved for the assignment.
You must also provide satisfactory Right to Work documentation and photographic identification.
