How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Supply Teacher – Ipswich

    Teach is currently recruiting qualified and experienced Supply Teachers to work across primary and secondary schools in Ipswich and the surrounding areas.

    We are looking for teachers who are passionate about education and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for pupils. Supply teaching offers flexibility, allowing you to choose assignments that fit around your availability and professional commitments.

    As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering lessons in accordance with school policies, lesson plans and curriculum requirements. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure pupils remain engaged with their learning.

    We welcome applications from qualified teachers seeking flexible day-to-day supply work, as well as those looking for longer-term assignments. Early Career Teachers are also encouraged to apply, subject to the requirements of the individual school.

    To be considered, you will need to hold Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification and have the right to work in the UK. You should have a professional approach, strong classroom management skills and a genuine commitment to supporting pupils' learning and development.
