Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and reliable Plumber to join our team working within the prison estate. The role involves carrying out plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair works across secure facilities while ensuring all work meets safety, compliance, and operational standards.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a stable environment with consistent hours and long-term work, supporting the maintenance and improvement of essential infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair works.
* Fault finding and diagnostics on plumbing, heating, and drainage systems.
* Installation and maintenance of pipework, sanitary ware, and associated fixtures.
* Ensure all work complies with current regulations and health & safety requirements.
* Complete relevant job documentation and reports.
* Work safely and follow all site security procedures.
* Liaise with site management and other trades when required.
* Respond to reactive maintenance issues and planned maintenance works.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in plumbing maintenance and installation work.
* Knowledge of water regulations and plumbing standards.
* Happy to go through the vetting clearance process.
* Ability to pass enhanced security clearance for prison work.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working within commercial or public sector environments preferred.
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
