The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Hunters’ client, a world-leading engineering company, are looking for an experienced and motivated Machine Shop & Fabrication Supervisor to join their friendly and supportive manufacturing team.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the CNC machine shop and sheet metal fabrication areas, leading a skilled team and ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery requirements are consistently achieved.
Machine Shop & Fabrication Supervisor - The Role
Supervise the daily operations of the CNC machine shop and sheet metal fabrication areas
Plan and prioritise workloads to meet production and customer delivery requirements
Coordinate CNC machining, punch press, waterjet cutting and associated manufacturing processes
Monitor productivity, machine utilisation and labour efficiency
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality and efficiency
Assist with performance reviews, return-to-work meetings and absence management
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation, including 5S
Support capacity planning and resource allocation to maximise production output Machine Shop & Fabrication Supervisor - About You
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong practical knowledge of CNC machining, particularly milling and/or turning
Experience within sheet metal fabrication, with knowledge of punch press and/or waterjet cutting highly desirable
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles would be advantageous What's On Offer?
