Looking for a hands-on role where you can actually learn something, develop your skills and work on products that are a little more interesting than standard production line work?
We’re recruiting Assembly Operatives for an established engineering manufacturer near Pulborough.
You’ll be joining a busy production environment building specialist technical products where quality, accuracy and attention to detail genuinely matter.
This could suit someone with previous assembly or manufacturing experience, but we’re equally interested in people from practical backgrounds who are good with their hands, keen to learn and looking for a proper long-term opportunity.
What you’ll be doing
Working as part of an experienced production team, your day-to-day will include:
Mechanical and electrical assembly
Using hand and power tools
Following drawings, work instructions and set build processes
Basic wiring, fitting and component work
Checking your own work and carrying out quality inspections
Working with detailed parts and technical products
Keeping your workspace organised and working safelyThere is plenty to learn, so you won’t be expected to know everything from day one.
Your background
We’d be interested in hearing from people with experience in areas such as:
Assembly
Production or manufacturing
Mechanical fitting
Electrical work or wiring
Engineering
Machine operation
Automotive
Construction or skilled trades
Maintenance
Other practical, hands-on rolesYou absolutely do not need experience in every area.
If you’re comfortable using tools, can follow instructions accurately and take pride in doing a job properly, there is training available to build on what you already know.
What we’re looking for
A practical, hands-on approach
Good attention to detail
Reliability and a positive attitude
Confidence following instructions and processes
Willingness to learn new skills
Good teamwork
Someone looking for stability and a longer-term move
Why consider it?
This is a permanent opportunity with an established engineering business that invests heavily in training and development.
For the right person, there is genuine scope to progress beyond general assembly and move into more technical areas as your experience grows.
So if you’re looking for somewhere you can settle in, learn properly and build a longer-term career within engineering or manufacturing, this could be a really strong next move
