Technical Writer

Summary
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our client in Woking on a 12‑month contract. This position will suit someone with strong English language skills and experience preparing detailed documentation for management. Client Overview
Our client is a recognised organisation within the engineering and technical services sector, delivering high‑quality solutions across a range of projects.

Responsibilities
Prepare operating plans and professional documentation to project standards
Draft budgeting narratives and financial explanations for internal stakeholders
Create concise technical reports for management review and decision‑making
Maintain document templates and ensure consistent formatting and style compliance
Liaise with engineers and project teams to gather relevant technical information
Review and edit materials for clarity, accuracy and completeness
Support colleagues in document control processes where requiredMust‑have Requirements
Fluent in written and spoken English
Proficient with word processing and personal computer applications
Strong typing accuracy and speed
Proven experience creating operating plans, budgeting narratives and technical reports
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skillsNice‑to‑have Skills
Familiarity with document control systems or technical publishing platforms
Previous experience in an engineering or industrial environment
