Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd are currently working with a local and rapidly growing Solar PV Contractor who are looking for another Electrician to join the team. The two Directors started the company back in 2021 and grew from one team to four across the past couple of years. They aren’t the biggest company in the world, but they look after their employees and they fully understand what its like to work on the tools as they still do it day in day out themselves!
They currently do a mixture of their own private domestic solar & battery installations, as well as sub contracting into larger Solar PV companies to complete work for them too. As they take on more and more of their own work, the radius of travel will continue to shrink. They currently operate out of Redditch area and want to reduce it to covering about a 90 minute radius of their yard.
If you’re a junior Electrician looking to learn more, the directors will personally mentor you, putting you through more tickets and passing on as much knowledge as they can. Within the role, you will work in a two man team alongside a Roofer/Panel Installer, installing Solar PV systems on private domestic, new build and some grant funded properties.
You will work as a team to complete installations, with the roofer installing and fixing the panels and running the cables through, which the electrician will then wire up and commission the system.
All materials are delivered to site, all jobs are surveyed and all scaffolding is up in place before you get there. They want someone local to Redditch as you will travel to their yard in the morning to meet the team and head off to the site together in the same van.
Solar Electrician – Requirements
* 18th Edition (Essential)
* NVQ Level 2/3
* 2391 Test & Inspection (advantageous but not essential)
* 2+ years experience on domestic electrical works
* Previous experience wiring up Solar PV systems (Desired)
