Moorland Recruitment are working with an established and growing business within the renewable energy sector who are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager.
This is a senior commercial role focused on developing new business, growing key customer relationships and increasing revenue across the solar PV and wider renewable energy market.
The role would suit someone with strong industry knowledge, an established network and a proven track record of delivering new business within renewables, electrical distribution, energy technology or a related technical sector.
The Role
You will be responsible for identifying, developing and converting new commercial opportunities across the UK.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Developing new business across the solar PV and renewable energy market
* Building relationships with installers, contractors, developers and commercial customers
* Managing and growing strategic customer accounts
* Identifying new projects, opportunities and routes to market
* Delivering against revenue and margin targets
* Conducting regular face-to-face customer meetings
* Producing commercial proposals and negotiating agreements
* Working closely with internal technical, operational and commercial teams
* Monitoring market activity, competitors and emerging opportunities
* Developing long-term partnerships with key customers
About You
We are looking for an experienced business development professional with a strong commercial background.
You will ideally have:
* Proven B2B business development experience
* Experience within solar PV, renewable energy, electrical distribution, energy technology or a related technical market
* A strong record of winning and developing new business
* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
* Strong commercial awareness
* The ability to manage a territory and sales pipeline autonomously
* Experience selling technical products or solutions
* Confidence dealing with senior decision-makers
* A full UK driving licence
Existing relationships within the UK solar or renewable energy market would be highly advantageous
