We are a specialist education recruitment agency working closely with a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in Hertfordshire to appoint a passionate Food Technology Teacher from September.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for career progression, with potential for a Head of Department position for the right candidate with the relevant experience, leadership skills, and ambition.
The Role:
Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
Delivering engaging, practical, and theory‑based lessons
Planning, assessing, and tracking pupil progress
Contributing to curriculum development within the DT department
Supporting department growth and leadership, where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds QTS (or is completing training)
Has strong subject knowledge in Food Technology / Food Preparation & Nutrition
Is an ECT or experienced teacher (leadership experience highly desirable)
Maintains high expectations and strong classroom management
Is committed to professional development and student achievement

£31000.00 - £51000.00 per year
