We are looking for a compassionate, approachable and resilient Mental Health Mentor to join our specialist school based in Oxford.
The school support students with a range of mental health challenges and social, emotional and behavioural needs.
Working closely with students, teachers, families and external professionals, you will provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping young people to develop emotional resilience, positive relationships, coping strategies and confidence.
The successful Mental Health Mentor will be someone who:
Has experience supporting children or young people with mental health and/or social and emotional needs.
Builds trusting, positive relationships with students.
Is calm, patient, empathetic and non-judgemental.
Can recognise when a student may need additional support and respond appropriately.
Is committed to promoting wellbeing, inclusion and positive outcomes for every young person.This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of students who need understanding, encouragement and someone in their corner.
