How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Mental Health Support Assistant - Oxford

Are you looking for a new role where you can make a real difference?

An amazing position has recently opened up in specialist school in Oxford. They are looking for someone to start on a full time basis, ASAP!

This incredible school work with students who have been diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). They primarily work with ages 4 to 16. Many of the students who attend this school also have other co-existing needs that make it difficult to learn and engage well with their classwork. Many of the students are known to have communication needs, social needs, emotional needs and mental health needs. These needs working together make it difficult for students to learn effectively.

The school are looking for a Mental Health Assistant who will come in, work closely with the students, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, and focus on their intervention plans. These plans are put in place to ensure the students have clear goals to support their development.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will provide support in the classroom, work closely on intervention plans, create a supportive and engaging environment and monitor and track students progress.

This is an amazing position if you are seeking experience to build on your career in psychology or education, or simply if you are looking for a role where you can make a real difference.
