An established architectural practice in Oxfordshire is looking for an experienced Part II Architectural Assistant to join their team, working predominantly on healthcare refurbishment and fit-out projects.
Projects are often complex and fast paced, working within existing buildings, so they are looking for someone with a strong technical grounding who is comfortable getting involved beyond the early design stages.
You’ll have the opportunity to work from concept through to completion, with good exposure to technical delivery, construction and site coordination, while working alongside experienced Architects.
The role will include:
Working across projects from concept through to completion
Producing planning, technical and construction drawings
Developing detailed design packages
Working on refurbishment and fit-out schemes within existing buildings
Coordinating information with consultants and contractors
Attending site and assisting with construction-stage queries
Liaising with planning authorities where required
Ensuring information complies with UK Building Regulations
Producing coordinated models and drawings using Revit
Supporting projects through RIBA Stages 4–5
The ideal candidate:
RIBA Part II qualified
Previous UK practice/project experience
A genuine interest in healthcare architecture
Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations
Proficient in Revit is mandatory
Good technical detailing and drawing skills
Experience of refurbishment and/or fit-out projects
Exposure to RIBA Stages 4–5
Some experience coordinating with contractors and working on projects through construction would be beneficial
Confident, organised and able to work with a good level of independence
