Overview
We're recruiting an experienced, qualified BENDI (narrow‑aisle) forklift driver to work in a busy manufacturing environment in Telford. The role involves safe, efficient movement of materials across the site, supporting production and goods‑handling operations.
Key responsibilities / day‑to‑day tasks
Operate BENDI/narrow‑aisle forklift for pallet movements, order picking, stacking and racking to required heights.
Load/unload vehicles, move inbound materials to production and transfer finished goods to dispatch areas.
Perform pre‑use and end‑shift vehicle checks, report defects and carry out basic daily maintenance (battery checks/charging procedures).
Secure and position loads safely; ensure correct stacking and pallet integrity.
Follow site traffic management rules, segregation, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist with goods‑in/goods‑out paperwork and use of any Warehouse Management System (WMS) or handheld scanners where required.
Support stock checks/cycle counts and keep accurate records of movements.
Work collaboratively with production, stores and maintenance teams to meet shift targets.
Essential requirements
Valid and current BENDI / narrow‑aisle truck certification from a recognised body (RTITB/ITSSAR/NPORS or employer‑approved).
Proven experience operating narrow‑aisle/Bendi trucks in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Good understanding of safe load handling, stacking and pallet care.
Reliable, punctual and able to work the stated hours (08:00-16:00).
Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
Experience with WMS/handheld scanners.
Basic mechanical aptitude for routine checks and battery management.
Previous experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
