Senior Bid Writer
 
Certain Advantage are hiring for a Senior Bid Writer based in Preston.
 
This is a permanent role and requires full-time onsite attendance.

You will lead the coordination and preparation of high-quality PQQ and tender submissions, combining strong bid writing capability with light bid management responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities

Producing a bid programme and submission plan
Organising bid kick-off meetings
Allocating responsibilities for bid inputs
Coordinating contributions from estimators, planners and operational staff
Tracking progress against deadlines
Managing tender clarifications
Ensuring compliance with client requirements
Assembling and submitting final tender documentation
Write clear, persuasive responses to PQQs, tenders and framework submissions
Translate technical information into structured, client-focused responses
Develop methodology responses, project approaches and value proposals
Review and improve contributions from technical team members
Edit and proofread submissions to ensure clarity and consistency
Ensure responses align with identified win themes 
The individual:

Strong bid writing experience
Experience coordinating tender submissions
Construction or civil engineering sector experience desirable
Ability to analyse tender questions and scoring criteria
Skilled at extracting technical knowledge from subject experts
Excellent written communication skills
Strong editing and proofreading ability
Ability to prioritise work across multiple concurrent tenders
Strong organisational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience with document design tools (InDesign or similar)
