The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Team Leader to join a leading heavy engineering manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a skilled machining team within a modern, well-invested production facility serving high-integrity industries including Marine Defence, Subsea Energy and Nuclear.
Key Responsibilities
* Shift Leadership: Coordinate shift activities, allocate work to skilled machinists, and ensure smooth shift handovers.
* Hands-On Technical Support: Assist operators with complex setups, fixture alignments, prove-outs, and G-code edits at the machine controls.
* Mentorship: Support junior machinists and apprentices, maintaining high standards of workmanship and continuous development.
* Health & Safety / Quality: Promote safe working practices, oversee heavy lifting and rigging operations using overhead gantry cranes, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
* Troubleshooting: Act as the primary shop-floor contact for production issues, working closely with Inspection and Production Control to resolve bottlenecks.
Required Skills & Experience
* Time-served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Mechanical Engineering or Machining).
* Proven experience setting, operating or programming Horizontal Boring Mills (HBMs) or Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs).
* Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens or Hartrol control systems.
* Competent in overhead gantry crane operations and heavy engineering environments.
* Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills with the ability to motivate and support a machining team.
