Fire & Security Engineering Tutor (No teaching experience required!)

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Start Date: ASAP (or when filled)
Hours: Full-time (Mon–Fri office based, with WFH on Mondays)

Think FE are proud to be working with a highly regarded, specialist training provider who are looking for a Fire & Security Engineering Tutor to deliver their Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship programme. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industry professional ready to take their next step into education—or an established tutor looking for a new challenge.

What will you do?

Deliver structured teaching and assessment across Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician standards.
Supervise and support apprentice engineers in both technical and personal development.
Plan and deliver engaging, technically accurate lessons with hands-on learning opportunities.
Contribute to curriculum development and progress planning.
Maintain accurate records and adhere to quality standards. Who are we looking for?

Strong practical experience in Fire & Security installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Deep technical knowledge in one or more of: SIA, FireQual, Milestone Advanced, or equivalent.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
You don’t need to be an experienced teacher, training can be provided for that.
Minimum of 3 years’ industry experience is essential.
Willing to travel occasionally to support delivery needs. What’s On Offer:
