Main Duties:
As a Management Accounts Assistant, your main duties include:
* Supporting budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting across the business
* Contributing to the year-end close down process and the preparation of final accounts
* Undertaking a variety of day-to-day accounting tasks and analysis as required
* Assisting with the preparation of grant claims and statutory/statistical returns
* Delivering a responsive, helpful service to internal teams through clear financial reporting
* Supporting the ongoing development of financial systems and controls
* Providing cover for colleagues during annual leave and periods of sickness

This part time role is based in Shrewsbury, working 22 hours per week. What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working within a financial or office environment
* Good numerical and analytical skills
* Confidence using Excel and Word
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to work accurately, methodically, and to deadlines
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
* AAT qualified, or working towards a relevant qualification
* Previous experience of budget monitoring and reporting
* Experience with financial or ERP systems
