The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Launch Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and vehicle launch activities within a leading automotive manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting programme delivery from concept through to production launch, ensuring all internal processes, quality standards, and programme milestones are adhered to deliver products to the customer on time and to the required specification.
Key Responsibilities
Support multiple automotive launch programmes and pre-production build activities
Ensure programme timing, launch processes, and customer deliverables are achieved on schedule
Lead root cause investigations for dimensional, fit, and functional concerns
Coordinate validation activities, quality inspections, and customer submissions
Support launch timing, programme reviews, and engineering changes
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and programme status updates
Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, tooling, quality, suppliers, and customers to ensure successful programme delivery
Support delivery of premium-quality products in line with the expectations of a high-end automotive customerSkills & Experience
Engineering qualification or equivalent automotive industry experience
Previous experience within automotive NPI, launch engineering, plastics, or manufacturing environments
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Knowledge of injection moulding and plastics assembly processes desirable
Experience using Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, and Minitab advantageous
Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel as required
