This role is a two week rotating shift pattern (working 5 days week one, 6 days week two) with nights out if required.
Higher hourly rate on weekends.
Duties
* Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
* Transport waste to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of customer service.
* Conduct pre start inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
* Communicate effectively with the Transport Team and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
* Valid HGV driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members professionally.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
