Channel Marketing Specialist

Are you a creative, innovative, commercially minded marketer who enjoys variety, having a voice in strategy and being out in front of customers?

We're working with an established international business who are looking for a Channel Marketing Specialist to join their team. This is a broad and varied role where you'll have the opportunity to shape marketing strategy, deliver campaigns, work closely with Sales and represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions and customer events.

You'll work closely with Sales and wider stakeholders to understand commercial priorities, identify opportunities and develop marketing activity that supports business growth. You'll have a broad remit covering campaigns, brand, content, communications, events and marketing strategy, whilst also taking an active role in representing the business externally.

A key part of the position will be attending and supporting trade shows, exhibitions and customer-facing events, so you'll need to be someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships and confidently communicating the brand and its proposition.

Responsibilities for a Channel Marketing Specialist:

·      Develop and deliver creative, commercially focused marketing campaigns across a range of channels

·      Contribute to and help shape the wider marketing strategy and plans

·      Work closely with Sales to understand customer and commercial priorities and turn these into effective marketing activity

·      Lead conversations with internal stakeholders, bringing your own ideas, recommendations and insight to the table

·      Develop and coordinate marketing content, communications and campaigns

·      Support brand positioning, messaging and marketing collateral

·      Plan and coordinate trade shows, exhibitions, conferences and customer events

·      Represent the business at external events, confidently engaging with customers, prospects and partners

·      Work with agencies, suppliers and other external partners where required

·      Identify new opportunities, trends and approaches that could improve marketing performance

·      Monitor activity and use customer, campaign and commercial insight to influence future plans

·      Take projects from initial idea through to execution, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery

What we’re looking for:

We're much more interested in how you think and what you can bring than whether you've worked in a particular industry. You could be a Marketing Executive ready for the next step, an established Marketing Specialist or Marketing Manager, or someone coming from an agency background looking to move client-side.

Key Skills for a Channel Marketing Specialist:

·      Broad general marketing experience across a variety of areas rather than being highly specialised in one channel

·      Experience developing and delivering marketing campaigns

·      The ability to think strategically and understand how marketing supports wider commercial objectives

·      Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to lead strategic conversations

·      Experience working closely with Sales or other commercial teams

·      Confidence representing a business in face-to-face environments

·      A creative and curious approach, with the confidence to challenge existing ideas and suggest new ones

·      A proactive, energetic and ambitious approach
