About the Role
We are supporting a well-established automotive workshop in their search for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy, professional service centre. This position offers the chance to work with a wide variety of vehicles, delivering high‑quality servicing, repairs, and diagnostics within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle servicing & repairs — routine maintenance and mechanical repair work across passenger and light commercial vehicles
Diagnostics — identify and resolve faults using appropriate diagnostic tools
MOT testing (if qualified)
Warranty repairs — complete work in line with manufacturer standards
Vehicle Health Checks and accurate completion of all supporting documentation
Collaborate with workshop colleagues to meet productivity and quality targets
Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00
Overtime available on an ad‑hoc basis
Saturday mornings on a rota (as required)
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Full UK Driving Licence
Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
Confident communicator and effective team player
Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work
