Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (plus car allowance and accommodation if staying away)
MGR Recruitment are pleased to be representing one of the UK’s leading civil engineering consultancies in their search for an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join a prestigious heavy civil engineering project in Aylesbury, forming a key part of the ongoing HS2 initiative.
The project includes earthworks, roadworks, viaducts, and bridges, and is expected to run beyond 2029, offering long-term stability and career progression.
As an Engineering Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering accurate survey data and supporting the successful delivery of the project across multiple work packages.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Carrying out setting out duties across earthworks, structures, and infrastructure
• Undertaking GNSS surveys and establishing/maintaining survey control
• Checking and validating setting out completed by other surveyors
• Processing as-built survey data
• Producing accurate drawings and survey outputs for project teams
• Maintaining high standards of QA and accuracy across all survey activities
Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Valid CSCS card (essential)
• Proven experience as an Engineering Surveyor, Setting Out Engineer, or Site Engineer
• Minimum 5 years’ experience on heavy civil engineering projects in the UK
• Strong proficiency with modern surveying equipment (Leica/Trimble preferred)
• Strong CAD and data processing capability (essential)
• Experience using BricsCAD for drawing production and data processing
