Multi Skilled Operative (Flooring)

Salary: £29,948 per annum (April 2026).
Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

We are looking to appoint a Multi Skilled Operative with a Flooring discipline, to join Bernicia’s Property Maintenance and Construction department.

About the Multi Skilled Operative (Flooring) Role:
This role will involve:
* As a Multi Skilled Operative your role will be aligned to undertaking all types of flooring work associated with this position, to both domestic and commercial properties to a high standard but also for the delivery of excellent customer service.
Your Experience:
Successful candidates will need:
* NVQ level 2 in floorcovering or working towards.
* On-Site training, approximately 2 years
* Linked building skills to carryout Multi-skilled works
* CSCS card as appropriate to the role
* Experience of working within a commercial and domestic property environment
* Experience of working in a target driven environment
* Adapt to change, positively contribute and communicate with effectively
* To undertake multi-skilled trade competencies
* To understand risk assessments
* Ability to deliver work in line with construction drawings.
* A sound knowledge of building construction, components and building trades
