An established manufacturing business specialising in sheet metal fabrication is looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to support continued growth and operational development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Production Manager to join a well-established SME with a strong team culture and collaborative working environment.
The Role
Reporting directly to senior management, you will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing daily production operations within a sheet metal fabrication environment
* Overseeing production planning and scheduling activities
* Leading and developing a team of approximately 35 employees
* Driving process improvements and production efficiencies
* Coordinating effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders
* Maintaining strong communication with customers to ensure expectations are met
* Using ProgressPlus and Excel to manage production schedules and reporting
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you must have:
* Strong experience within sheet metal fabrication manufacturing
* Previous experience managing production teams within an SME environment
* Proven knowledge of production planning and scheduling
* Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as ProgressPlus or similar
* Good Excel skills
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
