The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Morgan McKinley is partnering exclusively with an acquisitive Manufacturing business based in South Bristol, to recruit a Financial Controller.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will manage and lead the Finance team and function, and will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, with an opportunity to get involved in strategy.
Responsibilities will include:
Financial reporting and regular cashflow forecasts
Lead and develop the finance team
Oversee the month-end process and ensure strong internal controls are in place
Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts
Statutory reporting and support for year end audit process
Manage cash and account for inventory, stock and assets
Lead key projects, and participate in producing and implementing the 3-year business plan
The Person
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with the ability to convey financial information clearly to senior stakeholders and non-finance people.
You will have previous experience of leading a small finance team, and enjoy a hands-on financial management role where you can drive financial performance while also supporting strategy as part of the SLT.
This role requires you to be in the office 4 days per week with some occasional travel
