The Role
Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities available.
Inspire curiosity and critical thinking about people, places, environments, and global issues.
Use creative and innovative teaching approaches to bring topics such as climate change, sustainability, population, development, and urban change to life.
Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to support learners of all abilities.
Encourage students to develop strong geographical knowledge, enquiry skills, and a genuine interest in the world around them.
Contribute to wider school life through enrichment activities, fieldwork opportunities, and departmental initiatives.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
The Ideal Candidate
A qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) and a Geography specialism.
Strong subject knowledge and a confident, positive classroom presence.
An innovative and reflective approach to teaching and learning.
A commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and student progress.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
