How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, where your technical expertise and contributions will directly influence the success of our products and customers. You’ll be at the heart of innovation within a dynamic manufacturing environment, supported to grow professionally and develop your career.

* Free healthcare assessments and flu jabs

* Access to a social club with subsidised events

* Profit-related and attendance bonus

* Free onsite parking

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Become a trusted technical expert

Be the person colleagues and customers rely on when precision, clarity, and engineering insight matter most. You’ll support customers and internal teams by helping them understand the capabilities and applications of our protection technologies, delivering solutions that strengthen safety, reliability, and trust worldwide.

Support product data and ERP configuration

Help build and maintain product data management bills of material and configuration modules within our ERP system. Your work will ensure accurate and consistent data flow from engineering through to production, supporting efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.

Support production and testing activities

Work closely with production engineering and quality teams to resolve issues relating to product builds, accessory fitting, and final testing. You’ll help ensure every unit is assembled correctly, performs reliably, and meets our high standards before leaving the factory.

Attend customer witness testing

Support customer witness testing activities both within the UK and overseas, providing technical expertise and reinforcing customer confidence during on-site testing and inspections.

Deliver technical product training

Provide clear and effective training on our low voltage products, helping customers use our technologies safely, effectively, and confidently.

Collaborate across the business

Work alongside internal and external stakeholders to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll follow industry best practice while maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance. All assessments, recommendations, and technical advice must be fully documented in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

What Success Looks Like

During your first 12 months, you’ll embark on a hands-on learning journey designed to build deep technical confidence and real-world understanding of our products and customers.

You’ll become immersed in the inner workings of our products, supporting production with complex configurations and gaining practical insight into how our solutions are built, tested, and delivered. Time spent alongside our sales managers will give you valuable frontline exposure to how our products are installed, commissioned, and relied upon in the field.

You’ll also develop a strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and gain insight into how technical engineering supports the wider business.

As your career develops, you’ll have opportunities to:

* Specialise in advanced product configuration

* Contribute to continuous product improvement

* Develop AutoCAD capabilities

* Expand your expertise through IEC 60947 and IEC 61439 testing
