Client Information: Our client is a well-established and growing automotive retailer that has expanded significantly over the years, relocating to larger premises to support continued growth and enhance the customer experience.
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician to join our client’s professional Bodyshop team. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems in cars.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose faults using the latest manufacturer diagnostic equipment and systems
Complete Electronic Vehicle Health Checks
Identify and report additional work required on customer vehicles
Work closely with the Service Department to ensure excellent customer communication
Carry out road tests and vehicle inspections where required
Maintain a high standard of workmanship and efficiency
Support apprentices and less experienced technicians when appropriate
Keep up to date with manufacturer training and technical knowledge
Qualification and Experience:
NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
Full UK driving licence
Previous manufacturer or dealership experience desirable
Diagnostic experience desirable
MOT Tester licence desirable
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
